The ever popular Russian State Philharmonic Orchestra return to The Hexagon, under their Music Director Valery Polyansky, with a rich Russian programme. Ranking among the finest symphonic ensembles in Russia, they receive frequent invitations to perform in countries around the world. They are joined for this concert by pianist, Hyejin Kim.
Praised by critics for her, “passionate…polished and expressive,” performances, Hyejin Kim is one of South Korea’s most thrilling young classical stars. Ms Kim first attracted international attention at age 17 when, as its youngest participant, she won third prize in the prestigious Busoni Competition in Italy. Andrea Bonatta, the Head of the Jury, said, “I am thrilled about her flawless musicality and technique, which promises success as an internationally recognised pianist.”
