The Westminster Chamber Orchestra returns to Salisbury to present a concert featuring works for strings by Respighi, Rachmaninov, Bantock and Mozart. Leader Marian Givens will perform the beautiful Romance for violin and strings by Johan Svendsen, and the orchestra are excited to perform the stunning Mother of God by John Tavener in a rarely heard arrangement for strings.
Described as a 'remarkable little chamber orchestra' by the Birmingham Post, the South's newest professional orchestra is fast building a reputation for emotional and passionate performances under the baton of conductor/violinist Peter Davis.
Wine and soft drinks will be served in the interval.
