Historical Musician in Residence, Sally Garden, returns with a double-bill of her popular 'coffee-house' concerts in the elegant Marryat Hall. Join her as she celebrates the arrival of the splendid Wighton Harpsichord - a unique, versatile and first-class instrument for the people of Scotland's east coast. Two mornings of fine Scottish, French and Italian music in a relaxed and friendly setting. Not putting up with Sir Thomas Beecham's tongue-in-cheek put down - his irreverent description of the harpsichord as a 'birdcage played with a toasting fork!' - Sally Garden invites recitalist, John Kitchen, and ensemble, Apollo's Banquet to demonstrate the warmth and brilliance of the excellent Wighton Harpsichord in both solo and ensemble roles.
