Timothy Salter, distinguished in the music profession as Composer, Conductor, Pianist, Professor of Composition at RCM, Musical Director of The Ionian Singers, Director of Usk Recordings, celebrates his 60th birthday this December. To mark the occasion this specially devised concert will take place, in which his chamber music will be performed by friends, colleagues and students - and by Salter himself. The programme includes music by Timothy Salter spanning nearly forty years, displaying the arresting sonority, energy and transparency of his sound-world. |
