Note: It is 250 years since the death of Handel. In the elegant surroundings of the Sheldonian Theatre, where Handel himself played, the City of Oxford Choir will perform some of Handel’s finest music - large scale anthems written for the Duke of Chandos - into the context of his English contemporaries. Accompanied by Interplay, a team of specialist baroque players, this will be an evening of pomp, celebration and Georgian refinement.
