The sound of the Concerto de Aranjuez is hidden within the breeze that rustles the foliage, wrote Rodrigo of his beloved concerto. Fiori Musicali welcome distinguished Spanish guitarist José María Gallardo del Rey for a 70th-anniversary celebration of the Aranjuez Concerto, as we make our first visit to the popular Stables at Wavendon. Having just performed this music at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall and London’s Cadogan Hall, del Ray returns to the UK to join Fiori in a more intimate setting, capturing the rhythms and atmosphere of Rodrigo’s Spain at this well known venue. |
