What better venue for a performance of Bruckner’s final ‘cathedral in sound’ than the remarkable church of St Mary Redcliffe (“the fairest, goodliest, and most famous parish church in England” – Queen Elizabeth I). Add the magnificent 71-stop, 4,327-pipe Harrison and Harrison organ for a performance of Poulenc’s Organ Concerto, a magnificent choral work by Vaughan Williams and Elgar's grand orchestration of Bach's Fantasia and Fugue this makes for a concert not to be missed!
