Americas presents an exciting musical journey exploring the rich and exotic repertoire from North to South America. The works presented at this concert showcase the diversity of styles and influences that inspired composers from Brazil, Colombia, Venezula, USA and many more.

Ranging from zesty folkloric, operatic influences, through scrumptious samba and peppery indigenous all the way to ambrosial African, there is something for everyone on this menu.

The meeting of soprano Gabriella Di Laccio with pianist Clélia Iruzun creates a very entertaining programme and gives those unfamiliar to North American to South American art song a taste of what is to be found in this vast and varied continent.
