Our opening night is dedicating to showcasing the best of British: young conductors take to the stage with the Voices of London Consort after a day of workshops with choral pedagogue Patrick Russill, and the Music Makers of London perform a selection of British unaccompanied choral works.

We are delighted to welcome back Patrick Russill to head up our first forum for choral conductors, featuring workshops and Q and A sessions for young conductors and those interested in the profession. Patrick, Head of Choral Conducting at the Royal Academy of Music, will work with conservatoire and university conducting students from all over the UK on repertoire from around the British Isles, alongside our flagship professional ensemble, the Voices of London – comprising some of the best young consort singers in the Capital.

The evening showcase concert will feature performances from the Music Makers of London, as well as a selection of works conducted by the forum students with the Voices of London Consort – culminating in a joint performances by both choirs, directed by Patrick Russill.
