The London Festival of Contemporary Church Music is thrilled to welcome Mousai to perform works by contemporary British composers such as James MacMillan and Judith Bingham.

Mousai is a professional ensemble of twelve young singers at the start of their careers, directed by Daniel Cook, Sub-Organist of Westminster Abbey. The members are former choristers at cathedrals or collegiate establishments and have recently completed their undergraduate degrees from a broad range of institutions, such as King’s College, London, the Royal Academy of Music, the Royal College of Music, St John’s, Kings and Trinity Colleges, Cambridge and Christ Church Cathedral and The Queens College, Oxford.

The group, named after the collective Greek Muses who within mythology inspire the creation of literature and the arts, was originally formed in April 2010, and has already given several outstanding performances throughout the UK.
