If music be the food of love, play on! The Templar Scholars and the Reversed Shakespeare Company join forces for a feast of Shakespearean theatre and music, in a concert to mark the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare. The Templar Scholars are a chamber choir of graduates from the Britain's top conservatoires. They will perform settings of Shakespeare by Vaughan-Williams, Kodaly, Pearsall and Frank Martin, alongside a brand new commission from renowned composer Cecilia McDowall just one day after the premiere is broadcast by the BBC Singers. Fresh from their sell-out run at the Islington Pleasance, the Reversed Shakespeare Company will intersperse the music with live excerpts from Shakespeare's plays and sonnets.
