  1. The Dream of Gerontius Op 38 - Sir Edward Elgar

Composed in 1900 to words by Cardinal Newman, Elgar's choral masterpiece tells of the journey of a pious man's soul from his deathbed to his judgement befoe God. It is particularly fitting to be performing this work now as Cardinal Newman will be canonized by the Pope during his visit to England.
