The programme is a beautifully woven work of musical and artistic friendships. There are links between Essex composers, Tallis and Byrd and more recently the pairing of Bairstow and Finzi. There is also the collaboration between poet and composer demonstrated in the work of Gilbert and Sullivan. The concert will conclude with a selection from the King's Singers much-loved close harmony repertoire.
