This is the first in a series of concerts of the great piano quintets in collaboration with Simon Crawford-Phillips. There will be three concerts over the course of the day, at Kings Place, each showcasing a different piano quintet. The series will culminate with a final three concerts in next years' Kings Place Festival in September 2011.
Rarely is there an opportunity in London to hear three giants of the piano quintet repertoire performed on one occasion. For these three concerts, pianist Simon Crawford-Phillips joins the Sacconi Quartet to bring the great piano quintets of Brahms, Schumann and Dvorak to the Kings Place stage.

Simon Crawford-Phillips is renowned for his imaginative playing and dynamic musicianship. He is developing a diverse career as soloist, song accompanist, conductor, and pianist in the Kungsbacka Trio.
