This December, Project Instrumental brings together a composer, a sound artist, a visual artist and a DJ to create a multi-sensory musical environment using sound, electronics and cymatics. They use a four hundred year-old form, defined by variations against a bass motif, to create a twenty-first century experience, interacting with written works through live electronic collaborations that explore the physical sensation of sound and auditory-visual interactions. A world premiere, a string orchestra, a live visualisation sculpture, an electronic music response and a DJ, all available with locally produced craft beers from the well-considered Hackney Picturehouse bar. How couldn't you?
