Tickets "at the door" - until sold out
  1. Regina Coeli K 108 - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
  2. Regina coeli in B flat K127 - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
  3. A Ceremony of Carols Op 28 - Benjamin Britten
  4. Salve regina (4vv) - Orlande de Lassus

Two settings of Mozart's Regina Coeli contrast with works from the 16th and 20th centuries. Mozart takes as his text the prayer directly addressing Mary as Queen of Heaven, which we couple with Lassus' restrained setting of the Marian prayer Salve Regina and Britten's at times exuberant, at times austere Ceremony of Carols, telling the nativity story and the role of Mary, 'Hevene Quene'.
