The subject of light – in all its manifestations – has been inspirational for composers for centuries. Collegium Musicum of London has created a sparkling programme of celestial harmononies for a September evening of illuminated music-making, featuring works by Tallis, Purcell, Haydn, Elgar, Stanford, Sullivan and Parry, together with more than a few popular surprises. Fresh from its success last May, with its masterful Magnificat programme at St Sepulchre’s in the City of London, the choir looks forward to welcoming you for a dazzling evening of choral favourites from four centuries.
