Do I hear a Waltz? Parbold Chamber Choir

Do I hear a waltz? You certainly will if you come along to Parbold Chamber Choir’s 2015 summer concert.

During the first half of the concert we will be performing Brahms’s Songs of Love (Liebeslieder Waltzes) in English. The piece is accompanied by a piano duet. Peter Kwater, our accomplished regular accompanist, will be joined at the Steinway piano by our equally accomplished guest accompanist, Carol Ann Wareing.

The second half of the concert will feature a melodic selection of European folk songs and American show songs to serenade our audience on this summer’s evening. We will sing, as usual, under the direction of renowned local musician, Jim Cooke.

Our summer concert is a relaxed and sociable event with seating arranged round tables in the cabaret style. Audience members usually bring their own drinks. A buffet supper will be included in the ticket price of £10. This popular concert was sold out last year, so booking in advance is advisable.
