For its summer excursion to Bredon the CSO - Cheltenham's Symphony Orchestra - brings you music inspired by our local playwright, William Shakespeare. Well, not quite local because Stratford upon Avon is twenty five miles up the River Avon from Bredon but he feels like one of our local lads. Music from Finzi, Walton and Mendelssohn are complemented by something of a rarity, a trombone concerto by Olson which is to be played by the winner of the 2014 Gloucestershire Young Musician of the Year, Rhiannon Symonds. A delightfully varied evening of music making.

(I don't think WS played the sackbut but you never know....)
