Our spring programme brings together two works very appropriate to the Easter season. JS Bach's devotional motet 'Jesu, meine Freude' ('Jesus, my joy') contrasts with Ralph Vaugh Williams's setting of texts by the 17th-century English poet George Herbert, which ends with the well-known Antiphon 'Let all the world in ev'ry corner sing'.
