  3. Symphony No 6 in B minor, 'Pathétique' Op 74 - Pyotr Tchaikovsky

This trilogy of Tchaikovsky pieces includes the highly charged Romeo and Juliet and sublime Violin Concerto which will be performed by Alexander Sitkovetsky, a young Russian violinist making a tremendous impact across European concert stages at present. The evening concludes with the composer’s great final work, Symphony No 6, known as the ‘Pathétique’, perhaps the most popular of all Russian symphonies.
