  2. Sonata for Piano No 31 in A flat Op 110 - Ludwig van Beethoven
  3. Sonata for Piano No 32 in C minor Op 111 - Ludwig van Beethoven

In his final three piano sonatas, Beethoven’s struggles with the conflicting demands of lyricism and form produced some of the greatest – some would say the greatest – works ever written for the instrument, full of urgency and power. An award-winning interpreter of Beethoven, keyboard titan Paul Lewis performs these masterpieces on the Steinway piano he himself selected for Saffron Hall’s auditorium.
