The London Mozart Players are delighted to be celebrating the yuletide season with a very special concert and collaboration at St John’s. Featuring the young vocal talents of the Voce Chamber Choir and London Youth Choir Scholars, this evening promises to be sparkling seasonal celebration of English Christmas repertoire.

The programme opens with the world premiére of a new work for choir and orchestra by Alexander Campkin, and also features two contrasting offerings by two of England’s greatest twentieth century composers, Ralph Vaughan Williams’s Fantasia on Christmas Carols, and Benjamin Britten’s Saint Nicolas cantata.

The English feel is further enhanced by readings from Thomas Hardy and the 4th Symphony by the eighteenth century composer, William Boyce. Led by the illustrious Suzi Digby OBE, and showcasing the dulcet tones of David Wilson-Johnson, and rising star, Nick Sharratt, all in the beautiful surroundings of St John’s Smith Square, this is an event not to be missed.
