Get into the festive spirit with Docklands Sinfonia's winter-themed 'Snow Maiden' concert at St Anne's, Limehouse.

The stunning programme features fantastic works including The Snow Maiden Suite by Rimsky Korsakov, Vivaldi’s Gloria and Lachrymosa from Mozart’s Requiem.

The orchestra is being joined by the acclaimed Skolia Choir, which was formed in 2003 by conductor and musical director Elizabeth de Lacey. The choir has performed several times with Docklands Sinfonia, including at Guildford Cathedral and at its base, St Peter’s Church, Notting Hill.

Docklands Sinfonia is a young and exciting symphony orchestra which has become a major cultural force in London’s dynamic Docklands.

Since its formation by musical director Spencer Down, the orchestra has enjoyed incredible success with performances at Buckingham Palace for the Queen, the Royal Albert Hall with Grammy-award winner Imogen Heap and the House of Lords.

Docklands Sinfoina has recently recorded albums for Katie Melua and Voice UK singer Bob Blakeley.

The orchestra has worked with high profile classical artists from renowned trumpeter Alison Balsom to cello virtuoso Leonard Elschenbroich as well as organisations including the English National Ballet, Royal Opera House and National Youth Theatre.
