MCS Young Artists Fund would like to express solidarity with the people of Bosnia-Herzegovina for the loss and devastation caused by this worst ever floods that have hit their country in recorded history leading to losses of lives and homes.

The organiser is grateful to H.E. Mr. Mustafa Mujezinovic and Madame Ambassador, the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the UK, all the Artists and Opera Lyrico, Mr Peter Ingram & Vagabond Wines for Champagne Tasting, Mr Toshio Takenaka for Sushi and Mr Dick Jones for the Printing. They have donated their service and devoted their time and energy to make this evening happen.

Aida Corbadžic (soprano)

Aida Corbadžic is a principal soloist of Sarajevo National Opera Theatre as well as soloist of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Sarajevo.

She has appeared in the title roles in La Traviata, Rigoletto, Il Barbieri di Seviglia, Tosca, Le Nozze di Figaro, Il Trovatore, Die Fledermaus, Merry Widow, Orfeo ed Euridice, Dido and Aeneas, L'elisir d'amore, La Boheme, Gianni Schicchi, Ero s onoga svijeta, Hasanaginicas and as soloist for Stabat Mater and Beethoven's 9th Symphony.

Haruhi Hata (piano)

After attending the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music (Geidai) Ms Haruhi Hata furthered her education under Yvonne Lefebure in Paris, and Nikita Magaloff in Switzerland.
Since winning first prize in the Claude Debussy International Piano Competition, (Saint-Germain-en-Laye / France), she has been active in the concert scene, her recitals of Books 1 and 2 of Bach's Well Tempered Clavier, as well as all 6 Partitas, have drawn attention to her as a Bach specialist.

As a pedagogue, Mme Hata has frequently being invited as a jury in international competition in Italy, France, Russia,and produced winners and finalists at Long-Thibaud Competition and other concourse. Since 2006 she has held master courses at the Conservatorio Statale Giuseppe Verdi h di Torino and in Paris joined by Prof. Henri Barda and Prof.Anne Queffe'lec.

She has released CDs: JS Bach / The Well-tempered Clavier and Haruhi Hata Recital / Variations from Japanese songs, making her a versatile performer with a repertoire ranging from Bach to contemporary music, and very much immersed in chamber music and accompaniment.
