  3. Symphony No 7 in D minor Op 70 - Antonín Dvorák

Andris Nelsons makes his final appearance in Oxford with the CBSO before heading to the USA to take the post of Music Director of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Tonight he will tease out the lyricism of Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony, and the tense drama of Dvorák’s Symphony No 7. The orchestra’s own Principal Horn, Elspeth Dutch, will join them to perform Strauss’s magnificent Horn Concerto No 2.

Andris is hugely entertaining to watch, so if you haven’t already experienced his conducting in the intimate setting of the Sheldonian, don’t miss this final chance!
