  1. Mass in B minor BWV 232 - Johann Sebastian Bach

For director of music, Andrew Millington, Bach’s Mass in B minor is one of the great pinnacles of Western music, and is an exacting challenge for choral singers. The Sinfonietta, under their leader Richard Studt, return to support the choir in bringing out the glories of this towering work. Albert Schweitzer said, “The first chord of the Kyrie takes us into the world of great and profound emotions; we do not leave it until the final cadence of the Dona nobis pacem.”

The choir is very excited about performing Bach’s masterpiece following their successful and well received workshop on the Mass in February.
