Winner of the Kathleen Ferrier Song Prize (2007) and former member of the Benjamin Britten International Opera School, soprano Laura Mitchell and Guildhall trained pianist Charlotte Forrest, a visiting member of staff at Opera North and ENO, have been performing together since they met at the National Opera Studio in 2007 ...it’s as though an invisible cord links them such is their harmony and their enjoyment in the performance radiates from the stage... Grimsby Concert Society (2009) Expect a varied and vibrant programme of love and folk songs exhibiting joy, sorrow, passion, mischief and seduction.

The programme today includes Britten Let the florid music praise, Purcell If music be the food of love, Britten Waly Waly, Schubert Geheimes as well as songs by Rachmaninov, Manuel de Falla, Dring, Gibbs, Vaughan Williams, Parry and Bridge.
