Damien’s musical career has earned him credit as a creative and exciting musician and singer. His banjo playing has given him a reputation as one of the finest Irish players on the scene today and he is also noted singer focusing on songs from his native Northern Ireland. Fresh from touring with Kate Rusby he is probably best known for his work with Shona Kipling and Flook. Damien is due to release his first solo album ’Summer Hill’ in Spring 2010, working with musicians such as Ian Carr, Dave Kosky, John Joe Kelly and Michael McGoldrick. The album will contain songs from Northern Ireland and further a-field as well as self composed instrumentals.
