  3. Symphony No 5 in D minor Op 47 - Dmitry Shostakovich
It is generally agreed that Dmitri Shostakovich is one of the titans of 20th Century music and certainly the greatest symphonist of his time. The depth and range of his music is truly Beethovenian and we are very fortunate to have the composer's son, Maxim Shostakovich, visiting The Hexagon to conduct the colossal Symphony No.5.

There will be a free pre-concert talk from 6.15pm - 7pm in the Kennet Room, Civic Offices.
