40th Anniversary Performance of Handel's 'Messiah'

To celebrate their 40th Anniversary, the Rowland Singers will be performing Handel’s most popular oratorio The Messiah. The current church was built in 1961, the organ installed by Henry Willis III, obtained from an amateur organ builder (and also the parish priest) who had collected parts to build a new organ for his church at Thundridge, near Ware in Hertfordshire. It was overhauled in 1985 by the Brighton firm of Morgan & Smith.
