Winner of the prestigious Royal Philharmonic Society Award for Chamber Music in 2007 and the chamber music section of the BBC Music Magazine Awards in April 2009, the Dante Quartet is known for its imaginative programming and the emotional intensity of its performances.
The Dante Quartet enjoys a special association with King's College, Cambridge. As part of King's College Choir, Collegium Regale (conductor and trainer Stephen Cleobury), the choral scholars sing in the chapel's daily worship services which remain the choir's raison d'etre, as well as maintaining a busy concert, recording and touring schedule. As Collegium Regale (Latin for King's College), the choral scholars perform independently of the choir.
