After winning the Osaka International Chamber Music Competition in 2008, the Doric are now firmly established as one of the outstanding quartets of their generation. Here they play a programme of string quartet greats including one of Haydn’s most striking quartets, Op76 No 6, Schumann’s third Op 41 quartet and Britten’s second quartet which pays tribute to the late Baroque composer, Purcell.
