A musical celebration of Magna Carta’s historic theme of Rights & Freedoms in the magnificent surroundings of St Albans Abbey: Copland’s famous Fanfare for the Common Man followed by Mahler’s magisterial Symphony No 2 Resurrection. In one of the largest-scale works ever composed, Mahler celebrates life in his vision of how a symphony should encompass the whole world.
