The York Guildhall Orchestra concludes its 29th season with a concert of deeply passionate and inspirational music.

Elgar’s overture In The South, inspired whilst on holiday in the Italian Riviera. Strauss wrote this concerto for his father, who was a professional horn player. And we conclude with perhaps the most famous Tchaikovsky symphony of them all - his sixth, entitled ’Pathétique’.
