June Concert

The final concert of the season opens with Rossini's exhilarating William Tell Overture, which has not been performed by the Orchestra since 1924. The prospect of hearing the section for six solo cellos and the famous duet for flute and cor anglais should whet the appetite of concert-goers. The Orchestra is also excited to welcome Eloisa-Fleur Thom (a short notice replacement for Clifford Lantaff) to perform the Mendelssohn violin concerto in place of the Ginastera harp concerto. The season closes with Rachmaninov's powerful 1st Symphony.
