Dutch harpsichordist Ton Koopman, having completed his multiaward- winning project to conduct and record the complete existing Bach cantatas in 2004, has embarked on a 30-CD cycle of the complete works of Buxtehude.

In a career spanning over 45 years he has explored the works of composers ranging from Purcell and Bach to Mozart and Schubert – as a harpsichordist, organist and conductor – striking a vital balance between his work as a scholar and practitioner.
