Although some of the above names may not immediately spring to mind they, nonetheless, are important and significant contributors to the musical life of their times.

In a themed programme of music, Valentina will explore some historical facts and possibilities, and explain how these composers, whose lives were intertwined so much with the likes of Wagner, Beethoven, Brahms, Chopin, and Schumann, and of how their works fell into neglect – even suppression.
