Duo Tonos, Carlos Arturo Gomez Palacio (tenor) and Mie Ito (baroque harp), is an early music duo founded in 2011. They perform music from the Mediaeval to the early Baroque periods with a particular focus on Spanish and Latin American repertoire, including works by Cantigas de Sancta Maria, John Dowland, Henry Purcell, Claudio Monteverdi, Gulio Caccini, Luigi Rossi, Juan del Encina and Jose de Cascante. The duo aims to create an intimate and enjoyable atmosphere for the audience with the focus on bringing the music to life while maintaining historically accurate performance practices.
