An electrifying collaboration reviving the dazzling traditional Scottish and Irish jigs, reels, rants, hornpipes and haunting ballad tunes blown, strummed and scraped in the streets, stews, taverns, theatres and ballrooms of 17th century London. Brilliant Galician piper and iconic Celtic folk-legend Carlos Núñez and two members of his band join international early music stars Philip Pickett and Musicians of the Globe in a riotous evening of pipes, whistles, fiddles, guitars, bandora, drums and more.

Carlos’s passion for making musical connections - from performing with Jordi Savall to guesting with The Chieftains and Mike Scott of The Waterboys - has been at the core of his incredible world-wide success and his many return visits to Glasgow’s Celtic Connections. Philip’s folk-rock exploits include years with the Albion Band and recordings with members of Fairport Convention and both Richard and Linda Thompson, as well as collaborating with Richard Thompson in an acclaimed Elizabethan ballad project.
