The Four Choirs - Verdi's Requiem

Verdi's Messa di Requiem, one of the most moving, exciting and popular pieces of music ever written, is coming to Guildford's magnificent new venue, and promises to be a spectacular performance. The concert features the voices of four highly regarded soloists.

But perhaps the most exciting aspect of the performance is that it brings together no less than four choirs. Two of them, Leatherhead Choral Society and Concordia Singers, are trained by Ian, and they are joined by Oxshott and Horsley choral societies under their musical director, Valerie Beynon, making a combined choir of well around 220 voices. Leatherhead, Horsley and Oxshott Choral Societies are Leith Hill Festival choirs and compete at the annual Leith Hill Festival founded by Ralph Vaughan Williams.
