Regional favourites Orchestra North East are joined by the Durham Singers for this spectacular show. Parry’s anthem Blest Pair of Sirens opens the concert with a nod to this Jubilee year, and Geoffrey Silver returns with justifiably one of the most popular violin concertos in the repertoire. Thomas Blunt has conducted to great acclaim at Glyndebourne and the London Philharmonic; with Keith Wright returning to the cathedral organ bench to battle it out with the orchestra, we can expect a thrilling finale to this special evening.
