In April 2011 the Notos Quartet won both The Parkhouse Award and the Charles Hennen Concours.

Since its formation four years ago, the Notos Quartet has worked with such renowned groups as the Faure and Mandelring Quartets as well as members of the Trio Fontenay and the Alban Berg Quartet. Menahem Pressler, pianist of the Beaux Arts Trio, taught them and gave them his enthusiastic endorsement.

Appearances at the Schwetzinger Festspiele and the Hambacher Musikfest garnered excellent reviews. The Mannheimer Morgen attested 'a distinct precociousness' and concluded 'an impressoive appearance' and The Rheinpfalz wrote, 'this name must be kept in mind'.

As early as April 2008, the Notos Quartet was presented on Dutch Radio 4 Live from the Concertgebouw Amsterdam as well as on German SWR live from the Schwetzinger Schloss. The following September it was awarded the chamber music award of the International Mendelssohn Summer School in Hamburg. In March 2009 they were prizewinners in the Waldthausen Music Competition in Germany. Most recently they have completed a series of 10 concerts in South East Asia.
