Julie Felix arrived in England from California in 1964, carrying her Mexican guitar, and by 1965 was named as ‘Britain’s First Lady of Folk’ by The Times. She has never ceased to be an influence on the international folk scene, travelling the world and often standing up for humanitarian rights.
