In a concert full of well-loved favourites by Mozart, Delius and Haydn, the Sinfonia of Birmingham will also be performing York Bowen’s Concerto for Horn and String Orchestra. While York Bowen was often regarded as the “English Rachmaninov”, this lyrically luscious composition has a unique style of its own.
