We are holding a two day piano ‘marathon’ to enjoy all 32 Beethoven piano sonatas, played by 32 different pianists, on Saturday February 11th and Sunday February 12th, from 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm, and from 7.00 to 10.00pm on each day. We have a magnificent Bosendorfer concert grand, previously used by the BBC for broadcasts. The festival will be held ‘in the round’ with all the audience reasonably close to the piano, situated in the centre of the nave. We have an excellent projection system so everyone can see the pianist in close-up. There are frequent intervals, and tea and a buffet supper will be served. Admission is £12 for each afternoon and evening session (£6 for young people). No tickets will be issued in advance. The church is very large and admission is guaranteed – just turn up. All proceeds will go towards St Barnabas Church Funds, supporting the magnificent new organ. St Barnabas Church is a mile away from Ealing Broadway tube station. Parking is readily available.
