Film Premiere and Orchestral Works and Songs composed by Ivor Gurney

‘ Severn and Somme’ a drama documentary by local film company Redcliffe Film Productions will be premiered at the Bristol Cathedral on Saturday 21st January. The film premier will be accompanied by a live performance of some of Ivor Gurney’s orchestral music performed by the Bristol Classical Players conducted by Tom Gauterin. The orchestral works to be performed will be the War Elegy, the Coronation March and the Gloucestershire Rhapsody. This will the first time that these works have been performed together in one concert. The concert will also feature several songs written by Ivor Gurney and sung by baritone Philip Lancaster
