The perfect way to spend leap day.

A glorious concert containing some of Rachmaninov's most enchanting music. The Bach Choir, recently described by the Times as 'superb', takes to the stage alongside the young talent of Chetham's School of Music to perform 'The Bells'. This evocative work, based on poetry by Edgar Allan Poe, contains moments of heart-stopping beauty and exquisite orchestration. Rachmaninov considered it one of his greatest compositions.

Internationally-renowned soloists, and former Chetham's student Leon McCawley will perform Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No 3, legendary for its virtuosity and soaring lyricism in equal measure. The concert will begin with the Spring Cantata, a wonderful discovery for anyone who hasn't heard it before.
