The Quartet members are all past and current award-winning students from the Royal College of Music and Royal Academy of Music and have studied with members of the Amadeus Quartet, Chilingirian Quartet, Alban Berg Quartet, Keller Quartet, Maggini Quartet, Vellinger Quartet, Brodsky Quartet, Artis Quartet and with Jon Thorne.

Charlotte Scott - 1st violin - began playing the violin at the age of seven. At the age of 10 she appeared as soloist in the Beethoven Romance with the National Children's Orchestra in Ripon Cathedral. Charlotte holds a range of awards and prizes including the Croyden Concerto Competition 1st prize, Rosalie Inskip Trust Award, Jerwood foundation Award, MBF Education Award, Martin Musical Scholarship, Making Music Award, Marylebone Education Award, An Albert Cooper Trust Award, and a Derek Hill Award.

Michael Trainor - 2nd violin - was born in Belfast in 1987 and started playing the violin at the age of 8. At just 15 he was awarded a scholarship to study at the Apple Hill chamber music course in the USA for a month. Michael is a very busy and keen chamber musician. Aside from being second violin in the Piatti Quartet, he has also led various College ensembles, the most recent of which was a performance of Martinu's Nonet. He has performed in quartets for H.M. the Queen, Prince Charles and Bono from U2. Michael recently won the Milton Violin Award from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, which awards him the loan of a fine Gagliano violin.

David Wigram - viola - studied viola and saxophone at the Royal College of music supported by a Jane Melber Scholarship. Having studied viola with Jonathon Barritt, Jon Thorne and Ivo-Jan van der Werff, David graduated in 2009 with a first degree honours and has since devoted most of his time working as Violist with the Piatti Quartet.

Jessie Ann Richardson - cello - was born in 1987. In 2000 she joined The Purcell School where she received a scholarship under the Government's Music and Dance scheme. In September 2005 Jessie began studying at the Royal College of Music under Prof A. Boyarsky where she held a place as a foundation scholar.
