The Brussels Philharmonic - the Orchestra of Flanders, founded in 1935, makes its Cadogan Hall debut with Chief Conductor and Musical Director, Michel Tabachnik. The orchestra are joined by young Russian violinist Sasha Sitkovetsky to perform Mendelssohn’s sunny Violin Concerto – his final orchestral work and a piece which perfectly unites melody and orchestration, structure and feeling.

‘Sitkovetsky has a terrific technique to be sure, but his confident, entirely natural musicianship, is what sets him apart from the crowd.’ Gramophone
